We are thrilled that our children have the opportunity to learn to play lacrosse at the Pali Rec Center Field and are grateful to the Field of Dreams for keeping it in such outstanding condition.  Yet, we are limited to the amount of field time and days when we can use the field because of the demands for this space by so many other sport groups.
We love playing lacrosse at the Pali Rec Center Park. However, with the growth in numbers that we have had over the past years, we are quickly out growing the space. We have already moved our u14 and u18 players to Paul Revere.  The fact is there is a shortage of field space in the Palisades. There is, especially, a shortage of fields that are designed to play lacrosse on them.
To that end, I have been in contact with Bob Jeffers, you may have already read in the Pali Post or heard about the work that he and Jim Bailey are doing to organize the capital campaign to improve the Pali Charter High School Field and track, about the availability of the new fields at Pali HS for our growing league during the spring and summer months. Bob has indicated that there are a number of organizations that have committed funding for soccer season and that they are more than half-way toward raising their goal of $1.3 million. Bob also suggested that if we could help raise $75,000, we could reserve time in the spring and summer for lacrosse and our league.
This is a lot of money for our small but growing league. However, I thought the least I could do is make the request to you, the current and past members of the league, to enlist your help with this very important project.
To that end, here is a link to the Pali Charter School Field and Track Improvement Proposal Bob shared with me.  You can make your tax deductable donation directly to the LALL, as a 501 (c)3 we can earmark it for ‘The Pali Field and Track Improvement Project” or you can contact Bob or Jim directly, but remember to indicate that your support is for the LALL.
Thanks so much for your time and interest. We appreciate it.  Please call me if you have any questions.
